Turkey holds 4^th place as the most suitable destination for Muslims 

The most recent report issued by the Global Muslim Lifestyle Travel Market for 2017 indicated that Turkey held the 4^th place as the most suitable travel destination for Muslim travelers.

Malaysia topped the list with 82.5 points as the best country providing all suitable criteria for Muslim travelers, followed by the United Arab Emirates at 76.9 points. Indonesia held the 3^rd place with 72.6 points, while Turkey came in 4^th place at 72.4 points.

The report which is issued on annual basis started back in 2011 and was compiled in cooperation between Crescent Rating and Master Card International. The report specializes in tourism around the world and focuses on ratings of services and activities that are suitable for Muslim travelers according to set guidelines.

Crescent Rating Chairman said that Muslim travelers amount to 121 Million tourists per year with a total spending of approximately 155 Billion US Dollars, contributing to 10% of the international tourism economy.

He also added that Malaysia held the 1^st place due to its lenient visa policies and regulations, services offered and good infrastructure.

Turkey is considered now a strategic destination for all countries around the world including the Muslim world considering its strategic location, mild climate and affordable prices which made Turkey a magnet for tourists globally.

Lately, the Turkish government is putting a lot of efforts in promoting Islamic Tourism by introducing new products and services such as the inauguration of “Islamic style resorts” with international standards and competitive prices along with the creation of “ladies only beaches” offering the best amenities and security.
